Business.NJ.gov was launched to simplify the complex process of starting and operating a business in New Jersey, which previously required navigating 15 state websites and creating multiple accounts for forms and filings. This platform serves as a one-stop resource for entrepreneurs, providing access to personalized business starter kits, funding opportunities, tax obligations, and a wealth of information on state, federal, and local regulations.

Small Business Assistance Program
The NJDEP’s Small Business Assistance Program (SBAP) offers personalized guidance to help local small businesses navigate complex environmental regulations and adopt sustainable practices. By providing consultations, referrals, guidance documents, education and outreach and fostering innovation, SBAP supports cost savings and environmental stewardship across the state.

Climate Resilience Funding Directory
The Climate Resilience Funding Directory is a resource developed by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) in support of New Jersey Executive Order (EO) 89 and the state’s Climate Change Resilience Strategy. This directory is designed to support Resilient NJ, an assistance program that supports local and regional climate resilience planning and efforts throughout the state and region. We aim to empower stakeholders to access, apply for, and secure funding to plan and implement resilience projects by offering an easy-to-navigate directory.

US Digital Response Federal Grant Finder
The New Jersey Department of Treasury’s Grant Management Office has adopted the US Digital Response Federal Grant Finder, a free tool that streamlines the discovery of federal grant opportunities. This software enhances efficiency with advanced search and collaboration features, reducing barriers and fostering partnerships among nonprofits, government agencies, and other stakeholders to maximize federal funding for the state. New Jersey Funding One Stop Shop
The New Jersey Funding One Stop Shop is designed to help residents, local governments, and nonprofits pursue critical green projects from homeowners installing a heat pump to a government transitioning to an all-electric vehicle fleet. This interactive tool connects efficiency, electrification, and other sustainability-focused projects with federal, state, and utility funding programs. Based on answers to a few simple questions, the tool will match your project with available incentives and estimate the amount of funding for which you may qualify.
