Public Notice
Take notice that the NJ Department of Environmental Protection
is proposing to amend the table of North American Industry Classification
System (NAICS) Codes published in the Worker and Community Right
to Know Regulations, Conversion from SIC Codes to NAICS Codes;
Definition of “Employer,” Adopted Concurrent Amendment:
N.J.A.C. 7:1G-1.2, Adopted Concurrent New Rule: N.J.A.C. 7:1G-1.7,
published in the New Jersey Register, 36 NJR 4121-4126, September
7, 2004.
A statement of the substance of the proposal follows: Four
NAICS codes that correspond to employers in previously regulated
SIC codes were inadvertently omitted from the rule published
on September 7, 2004. The Department is proposing to restore
these NAICS codes to ensure that the universe of entities regulated
under the former SIC codes and N.J.S.A. 13:1D-138 et seq. remains
constant under these rules.
The proposal is scheduled to be published in the New Jersey
Register dated October 17, 2005, A copy of the proposal is
