Notice of Rule Proposal
Industrial Site Recovery Act Rules, N.J.A.C. 7:26B

Public Notice
Take notice that the NJ Department of Environmental Protection
is proposing a readoption with amendments to the Industrial Site
Recovery Act Rules, N.J.A.C. 7:26B (ISRA rules). The ISRA rules
implement the Industrial Site Recovery Act, N.J.S.A. 13:1K-6,
which requires that the owners and operators of industrial establishments
remediate contamination at the industrial establishment to the
Department’s satisfaction prior to transferring or closing the
industrial establishment. In this rulemaking, the Department will
propose amendments to reflect statutory changes, update phone
numbers and addresses and make further clarifications to enhance
comprehension.

The proposal is scheduled to be published in the New Jersey Register
dated July 15, 2002. A copy of the proposal is available from
