Public Notice
Take notice that the NJ Department of Environmental Protection
is proposing new rules and amendments to implement the Open Public
Records Act, P.L. 2001, c. 404. A statement of the substance of
the proposal follows:
The proposed new rules and amendments establish the process by
which members of the public may seek access to government records
in the possession or control of the Department or agencies within
the Department.
The proposal is scheduled to be published in the New Jersey Register
dated July 1, 2002. Copies of the Department’s proposal are available
from the Department’s Office of Legal Affairs, 401 E. State Street,
Trenton, New Jersey 08625, ATTN.: Lyn Mount. The document may
also be obtained directly from Westlaw Publishing by calling 1-800-808-WEST.
Be advised that there may be a fee for obtaining a copy of the
proposal from some sources.
Note: The comment period for this proposal has been extended
12 days until September 11, 2002 in accordance with the Notice
of Extension published by the Office of Administrative Law in
the August 5, 2002 New Jersey Register (see 34 NJR 2549(b)).
