Take Notice that the Department of Environmental Protection
(the Department) is reopening the comment period and holding
a public hearing on the proposed amendment of the Flood Hazard
Area Control rules, N.J.A.C. 7:13, to revise the currently promulgated
flood hazard area map and water surface profiles along a 8,085
foot reach of the Millstone River, from the confluence with
the Raritan River upstream to the Weston Causeway, within Franklin
Township and Manville Borough in Somerset County.
The proposal was published in the New Jersey Register on September
20,2004 at 36 N.J.R. 4226(a). The comment period originally
closed on November 19, 2004. The Department is reopening the
comment period until Wednesday, April 6, 2005. A
copy of the proposal is available from the Department’s web

at 1-800-808-WEST. Interested persons may request a copy of
this proposal (with the associated flood hazard area map and
