Take notice that the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (Department) is proposing to readopt rules at N.J.A.C. 7:14D, Determination of Environmental Benefit of the Reuse of Further Treated Effluent in Industrial Facilities, without change. A statement of the substance of the proposal follows:
The Department, in conjunction with the Department of Treasury, Division of Taxation, is readopting a tax incentives program, which provides for corporate business tax credit and/or sales tax refund for treatment and/or conveyance equipment purchased exclusively for the purpose of reusing further treated effluent in industrial processes in the state. The Department will determine whether the operation of the treatment and/or conveyance equipment and the reuse of the further treated effluent will be environmentally beneficial. These rules specify submission requirements and review procedures for making the determination of environmental benefit.
The proposal is scheduled to be published in the New Jersey Register on January 22, 2008. A copy of the proposal is available from: the DEP Web site(PDF) or from Howard B.
