Below is the list of all locations utilized by the NJ Hunter and Trapper Education program throughout the March-November Hunter and Trapper Education season. Only one (or more) location may be utilized on any given date.

Black River Wildlife Management Area – Chester, Morris County

From Rt. 206 North or South: Travel towards Chester; at Rt. 513 traffic light (center of Chester) go north on Rt. 513 and proceed through one more traffic light to range entrance on left.

Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club – Jackson, Ocean County

From NJ Turnpike: Take Exit #7A onto Rt. I-195 East to Exit #16B, Rt. 537 East. Continue to Rt. 571. Make right onto Rt. 571 for approximately 4.5 miles to first traffic light. Make right onto Rt. 528 (Veterans Hwy.). Go 1.75 miles and make sharp left onto Stump Tavern Rd. Go approximately 0.75 mile and make right at sign for Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club.
From Garden State Parkway South: Take Exit #123 onto Rt. 9 South. Go approximately 10 miles to traffic lights before Freehold Raceway and Raceway Park Mall. Use right lane to exit at “W. Broadway, Freehold.” At end of ramp make a right onto Rt. 537 West. Go approximately 8.5 miles to light at Rt.571. 571.Make right onto Rt. 571 for approximately 4.5 miles to first traffic light. Make right onto Rt. 528 (Veterans Hwy.). Go 1.75 miles and make sharp left onto Stump Tavern Rd. Go approximately 0.75 mile and make right

Pass Central Region Office building (Eldridge Rd.) on right, proceed several hundred yards to Conservation Center on right.

From the South: Take the GSP north to Exit 74. Make a left at traffic light at the end of ramp. Proceed approximately 3.3 miles (just after Penhook Rd.) to club driveway on your right.
From the West: Take Rt. 70 to Rt. 530 in Manchester. Take Lacey Rd. east toward Forked River. Proceed 6 miles to club driveway on your left. If you pass Penhook Rd., you have gone too far.

From the North: GSP South to Exit 52, stay to right off ramp to E. Greenbush Road, bear to left onto Stage Road, to Leekstown Road, go across bridge onto Route 542 West, make right onto Route 563, follow to club on left.
From the South: GSP North to Exit 50, stay to right off ramp Route 9 (Amasa Landing Rd.) continue straight, then make left onto (Old New York Road). Take this to stop sign, make left onto Route 542 (Hammonton Road). Route 542 to bridge crossing, make left go across bridge continuing on Route 542 make right onto Route 563, follow to club on left.

From Rt. 78: Take Exit #17 (Rt. 31). Take Rt. 31 North approximately 17 miles to its end at Rt. 46. Make a right onto Rt. 46 East. Hatchery entrance is approximately 2.5 miles.

From the South: From the intersection of Rt. 206 and CR-541, head north on CR-541 approximately 3.8 miles. Club is located on the left.
From the North: From the intersection of Rt. 70 and CR-541, travel south on CR-541 approximately 2.3 miles. At traffic light make a slight right to continue on CR-541 South for approximately 4.5 miles. Club will be on right.

Ponderlodge (Cox Creek WMA), Cape May County

From the Parkway Southbound: Take exit 4A, merge onto NJ-47/N. Delsea Dr, Towards Rio Grande (2.0 mi.). Turn left onto Fulling Mill Rd. (2.5 mi.), then turn Left onto Bayshore Rd. (1.0 mi.). Turn right onto Village Rd. (0.6 mi.), and then turn left onto Bay Dr. (0.8 mi.). Turn Left onto Springtime Rd. At the end of Springtime Rd. continue straight through gate and follow paved road until you get to large metal building.
From the West: Take NJ-47 South, Delsea Dr., and make right onto Fulling Mill Rd. Turn left onto Fulling Mill Rd (2.5 mi.), then turn Left onto Bayshore Rd (1.0 mi). Turn left onto Southwest Ave. Make first right onto Central Ave. Follow Central Ave. stay straight onto CR-626/Roadstown Rd. (6.4 miles). Continue onto Jericho Rd. (1.7 miles) club entrance on right.

From the Walt Whitman Bridge: Take Rt. 42 to Black Horse Pike (Rt.322) to Piney Hollow Rd. Take the jug handle to make a left. Go 2 miles we are on the right.

TRAPPER EDUCATION LOCATIONS

Hackettstown Hatchery, Warren County (Trapper Education Only) From Route 46
Take Route 46 (Main St.) to Grand Avenue.
Take Grand Ave. to Fifth Ave and make a left onto Fifth Ave.
Take Fifth Ave to the end and make a right into Hatchery.
Go through brick gate and chain-link fence to first green building on right.

Tuckahoe WMA – Cape May County (Trapper Education Only)

From Mays Landing: Take Route 50 South through the town of Tuckahoe to Levari’s Seafood & Grill. Turn left at light–go approximately 0.4 mile. WMA entrance is on left. Proceed 0.5 miles to yellow building on right. Site will be marked with a NJ Hunter Ed sign.
From Cape May area – Take GSP north to Exit 20 to Route 50 North. Follow Route 50 to landmark “Triton Tavern.” Turn right at light and follow above directions.
