Drought Conditions

Each week drought conditions are reported for regions across NJ.
There are four stages of water supply drought:
– Normal
– Drought Watch
– Drought Warning
– Drought Emergency

Beach Water Quality

From mid-May to mid-September, beach reports include:
– Current beach status
– Water quality sample results
– Beach advisory and closing reports

Prescribed Burning

Yearly between 10/1 and 3/31, NJ Forest Fire Service plans prescribed burns (RxB) to reduce the hazardous accumulations of forest fuels. This map shows prescribed burns that are planned within the next five days.

Fire Danger
