Services for the Public

Members of the general public are welcome to ask questions and use the library onsite but are restricted from borrowing materials and using services that incur fees such as interlibrary loans or remote access to subscription databases. If you have questions about the DEP Library or our collections, please contact us.

Many historical DEP reports and documents have been digitized and are available online at Rutgers’ Environmental Digital Library, and the New Jersey State Publications Digital Library. The DEP library’s print collection can be searched through the online public catalog. The Advanced Search functions can be used to limit your search to the DEP Collection only.

If you are a student or researcher and would like to visit the DEP library, please contact the library to schedule an appointment.
