State Implementation Plan (SIP) Revision: 2008 75 ppb 8-Hour Ozone Attainment Demonstration, 2008 75 ppb and 2015 70 ppb Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) Determinations and Nonattainment New Source Review (NNSR) Program Compliance Certifications, and 2017 Periodic Emissions Inventory
Date Posted: 5/26/2021
Last Update: 11/29/2021
The ozone SIP Revision addresses the requirements of the Clean Air Act (CAA) regarding New Jersey’s plan for attaining the 2008 75 ppb 8-hour ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) in its Northern New Jersey multi-state nonattainment area by its Serious attainment date of July 20, 2021. This SIP revision also includes a comprehensive Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) analysis to address both the 2008 75 ppb NAAQS and the 2015 70 ppb NAAQS. This SIP Revision addresses the requirements for New Jersey’s NNSR permitting program for the 75 and 70 ppb 8-hour ozone NAAQS and includes the required NNSR Program Compliance Certifications. This SIP revision also includes the 2017 periodic emissions inventory that will also be the base year inventory for Reasonable Further Progress for the 2015 70 ppb 8-hour ozone NAAQS.
